On December 31st, I was blessed to attend a Korean church near where one of my daughters lives. For this occasion, the church combined both the Korean and English services as well as the children's ministry. What evolved for me was a taste of the church universal, rather than just a local church. The pastor began by noting this as he referred to the two languages, traditions, and various age groups all coming together in one service. All of the welcoming comments, announcements, and the message were given first in one language and then the other. The songs were blended, at times being sung in Korean, at times in English, and at times both could be heard at the same time. It was a beautiful blend of God's people.
This worship experience reminded me of a you tube video I had seen previously which gives an incredible picture of the church universal, and for me, a glimpse of heaven, I encourage you to click on /or copy the link of Revelation song (Global Edition) below and check it out.

After an initial time of worship, the pastor's message was simple, humble, and genuine. He spoke about being new creations in Christ, about the deep love shown to us through Jesus, and about the need to step out of our comfort zones to share that love with others as ambassadors of Christ. He ended with a scripture for 2018 from 1 Peter 1:15, "Be holy in all you do."
As I was giving further thought and study to being an ambassador and being holy in all I do, I came across an article on the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association website that is "spot on." I encourage you to take a couple of minutes to read and ponder it as well. May your new year not only be happy, but may you "Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have." (1 Peter 3:15) as an ambassador of Christ.
